Scarlett Johansson by Solve Sundsbo for Interview

You’ve probably followed this blog long enough to know that I’m not keen on celebrities and pop culture icons otherwise in fashion publications.  However, the above is a rare exception of a photo I felt compelled enough to feature.  It’s aesthetically pleasing, sure – but that’s not all.  On this particular page, the 27 year old American actress is quoted as having said the following.  ”I don’t have a Facebook or a Twitter account.  I can’t think of anything I’d rather do less than have to continuously share details of my everyday life.”  I get it; she’s known.  She’s in a continuous spotlight on and off set.  That said, it’s something commendable to say nonetheless and should probably be more universal as a thought process.  Maybe she’s onto something.  Food for thought, I suppose.

Lara Stone once again collaborates with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the likes of Interview Magazine.  Here’s a new take on a similar concept to depict nudity and showcase the Dutch model’s incredible form.

Freja Beha Erichsen photographed by Craig McDean in “Modern Love” for Interview Magazine, August 2010

“I know when to go out and when to stay in.”

I feel like the male model, Dan Kling, is reminiscent of Macaulay Culkin in Party Monster.  Anyone else?  Regardless, Freja Beha looks as good as ever in this romantic take on Modern Love by Craig McDean for the latest of Interview Magazine.
